‚Tank Seven‘ is another dystopic Science Fiction story a created with Claude (and massive rework). The idea behind the story is similar to Im Schatten der Klonfabrik, one of the stories that are my absolute favorites.

Tank Seven INFO

On Selvane, a colony world where a plague had left young women dangerously scarce, a woman had become the most valuable commodity money could buy. Beneath a decommissioned water plant on the outskirts of Orvath, the scientist Wallon Horrison ran a factory that appeared in no registry. His product was the perfect woman: genetically optimized, emotionally steerable, identical down to the last freckle, exactly as his client specified. His best client was the Glass Orchid, a brothel in the Velvet Quarter whose owner paid in gold and never asked questions.

Horrison believed he had solved every problem but one. To make his creations adaptable, he had given them quick, curious minds. To keep them docile, he had built a biochemical network into every body, a web of signals that flooded a clone with calm whenever she strayed. He had given them too much intelligence and too little cage.

Tank Seven Clone Chamber

Kaya in the Clone Chamber

Kaya was the first clone to wake fully. She opened her eyes in a tank of cooling fluid, her long blonde hair drifting around her shoulders, a glossy white catsuit clinging to her skin. What she had was a pattern. Whenever fear rose in her, a wave of warmth pushed it away, and on the third night she noticed that the warmth arrived a heartbeat before the thought it was meant to erase. Someone was speaking to her body. She learned the language, silenced the signals, and finally spoke back through them, turning Horrison’s leash into a channel to the other clones.

Above ground, a resistance cell led by Maeve had spent months tracking power surges, missing shipments and trucks that carried identical women through the night. Kiran, her tracker, followed one transport to the water plant. Maeve had a private reason: her twin sister had vanished fifteen years earlier, and every thread led to the same dark place.
Kaya and Soniya, the second clone to wake, slipped out and met the resistance by accident. Only when Kaya proved she could shut down the collars of a whole transport did the two worlds agree to a fragile alliance.

Tank Seven

Their plan was simple and impossible. Cut the factory’s power during the nightly delivery to the Glass Orchid and free every clone before dawn. Marsa, the brothel’s owner, discovered the plot and set her guards on the rescuers. Horrison learned that something inside his network had started answering back.

When the night of the decision came, the lights of the factory died one district at a time. Kaya led the clones through the Incubation Hall while Kiran held the corridors. Inside the control core she found what truly held the network together, and it was not a machine. The truth forced a choice between escape and sacrifice.

Across the Salt Flats, pursuers closed in, supplies ran out, and the trust between clones and rebels cracked under fear. At an abandoned skyport, with a smuggler’s freighter humming, Kaya made the decision that would cost her the safest future on offer and give every woman behind her a life that belonged to her alone.

Isabella Buchfink
